The iPromise Tracker was a project we were genuinely excited to bring to life. Developed for Tradies as part of their broader iPromise sustainability initiative, the app is built on a simple but powerful idea. If everyone makes small, consistent changes in their daily lives, the collective impact can be significant. Our role was to transform that philosophy into a functional and engaging digital product.
We delivered a custom mobile application solution that allows users to track their recycling efforts, water savings, electricity usage and transport choices. The platform converts individual environmental actions into measurable data, awarding points for sustainable behaviour and displaying results through a dynamic leaderboard. This feature encourages friendly competition while reinforcing positive habits.
From a user experience perspective, the app needed to be intuitive and motivating. We designed clean interfaces that make tracking simple, while visually reinforcing progress and achievement. The goal was to ensure users could quickly log their actions and immediately see the impact of their contributions.
A standout feature of the platform is the inclusion of Tradies’ own environmental data and savings. This demonstrates transparency and leadership, showing that the organisation is actively participating in the same commitments it promotes. It strengthens credibility and builds trust within the community.
From a technical standpoint, the solution was built for performance, scalability and long term engagement. The infrastructure supports ongoing feature development and program growth as sustainability initiatives evolve.
What I am most proud of with iPromise Tracker is how technology has been used to support behavioural change. It is more than an app. It is a practical tool that encourages everyday environmental responsibility while reinforcing Tradies’ commitment to making a measurable difference.
